W2A Design Group performed a comprehensive analysis of the existing Bucks County Emergency Management Facility (former US Navy Fire & Rescue Station). Upon completing the study, the County commissioned W2A to proceed with design of renovations and an addition to this out-dated building. The design provided the resources necessary to house state of the art technology for the Emergency Management / 911 Call Center. The renovated and expanded facility accommodates:
- Extra deep garage bays for emergency response vehicles
- New 911 Center on new second floor with dispatch consoles, training room, raised floor system, daylight provisions via windows and roof monitors
- Electronics Equipment Room with UPS Power, N + 1 redundant HVAC systems, FM-200 fire suppression system
- Emergency Operations Center with associated support spaces
- New 600 KW emergency power system with synchronized modular generators to provide N + 1 redundancy
- Automatic fire alarm and detection system and pre-action sprinkler system.
