This 10,000 SF new branch bank was modeled after First Commonwealth’s initial prototype branch (designed by W2A and located in Kutztown). The exterior materials of brick and native fieldstone plus the architectural elements (entry tower and roof cupola) designed as part of the prototype branch, were carried over into this branch to maintain the identity of the Credit Union. The building plan allows maximum visibility and security throughout the facility.Upon entering the building, visitors are greeted at a custom built-in reception counter. The cupola, centered over the main teller area, allows natural light into the center of the building and focuses attention to the tellers. Both stand up and sit down teller stations are available to Credit Union members. To create a warm welcoming feel, interior finishes include fieldstone on one wall and a mix of carpet and porcelain tile on the floor. Other interior features include changes in ceiling plane, warm colors and ample natural light.
