W2A Design Group provided full Architectural / Engineering Services to Pear Blossom Early Childhood Center (PBECC). PBECC offers programs for infants through 6 years old (Preschool Kindergarten) guided by Waldorf Education Principles.
W2A Design Group designed renovations to an existing commercial building, with a residential apartment on the ground floor, into the Pear Blossom Early Childhood Center. Working with accessibility codes, the building floor levels remained separated with the Office and Nursery on the ground floor and 3 Classrooms and a serving pantry on the second floor. Toilet rooms are on both levels. The site includes a garden with a greenhouse and ample outdoor play space, since connections of the child and the natural environment is a mission in learning.
